Moonbots 2012 winners

And the Winners Are..... Grand PRIZE - Hungarobots (Sopron, Hungary) 1st Runner Up - Incredibots (Columbus, Ohio) 2nd Runner Up - Apollo 19 (Escondido, California) 3rd Runner Up - Titanium Springboks (Pretoria, South Africa) The Moonbots team would like to congratulate all of the teams for their hard work throughout the competition. The Partners of the MoonBots Challenge really enjoyed all of the teams' enthusiasm and dedication. We would also like to announce some Special Recognition Awards to all of the teams.

MoonBots 2012 Phase One/ Registration

One Month left for Registration and Phase One of the Google Lunar MoonBots. Just enter the MoonBots 2012 Challenge, shoot video, build an awesome robot with family or friends, and win cool stuff. It's totally FREE for 9-17 year old kids all over the world who want to compete to win awesome prizes. No travel necessary. Competition open to kids all over the world. Up to now , just 12 teams have signed in and knowing that the best 30 teams will go to Phase Two , that will mean as of now all teams have an equal change in getting to phase two! MoonBots 2 Winners

The Google Lunar X-price Moonbots 2 challenge has come to an end , and with that also winners are announced. [ link ] The main difference between FLL and Moonbots is that the Moonbots robot have to do a complete autonomous run, so no manual interference in between the runs, like real robots on the moon. FIRST place: LegoAces and their run: SECOND place: Team Just Ducky and their run: THIRD place: Lunar Lords and their run: have a look at all the team videos, and their robots, maybe they are good inspiration for your FLL robot. martyn

"MoonBots" Challenge Kick Off!

So this Wednesday at the FIRST World Festival will also be the kick off of the "MoonBots" challenge (according to the Facebook page ). "MoonBots" challenges teams of kids to build robots to solve missions similar to those faced by participants in the Google Lunar X PRIZE challenge. So get your teams together and your robot up, and stay tuned to the Facebook page or be at the FIRST World Festival to get the challenge! Hope to see everyone there! Richard
