Saturday, April 19th, Duke University will be hosting the Southeast Regional for RoboCupJunior, an international robotics competition. The winners of each category will be eligible for RoboCup 2008, taking place this July in Suzhou, China.
RCJ consists of three competitions (soccer, rescue and dance), with two devisions (primary and secondary) of each competition. If any student will turn 15 years old before July 1, 2008 they MUST compete in a secondary group. Additionally, any student above the age of 19 is not eligible. Registration fees, which cover tee shirts and lunch, are 60$ for teams of four and under, with a 10$ charge for each additional student. Unfortunately, refunds of registration fees are not available.
