Give me 5; Amazing hand

Barbos, known in the Netherlands as Barman, made many amazing creations, but this hand, superb! Read below his description: This is my first Mindstorms MOC. I still need to get the programming shorted. This idea has been laying around for more than 2 years. On different events I had the prototype finger with me to show what I was planning to do. In September 2012 I started working on this project end finally finished in mid November, just in time for Lego Fanwelt Cologne Germany. My buddy Chris helped me getting started with programming during the event. This is still the basic program from the event. Later I will program other hand movements, but for the video, this was good enough. The MOC contains: 2 NXT units 6 NXT motors 1 Ultrasonic sensor for spotting movement tot start the program 1 Touch sensor for starting other programs (option isn't used yet) De hand moves by 2 motors. 1 For moving the hand up and down en the other for rotation the hand. ExoHand by Festo

Another great new contribution to our loose series of robotic news that are not directly related to the NXT but might rather serve as some kind of inspiration: the ExoHand by Festo , a world-leading automization company located in Southern Germany: Looks almost LEGO®ish, doesn't it?

Justin, a next generation space robot

Though we are reluctant to post entries here that do not deal directly with LEGO® MINDSTORMS NXT, to and fro one of us feels compelled to show off certain robotics-related things nevertheless, for their sheer awesomeness. In this case, I think Justin , a robot by the DLR (the German Aerospace agency) that is meant for repairing satellites one day, is also interesting for the NXT builder: Note also the video on its great robot arm. Besides, the YouTube channel of the DLR is a real bonanza for any robot builder (see the DLR crawler , e.g.).
