Here's a supercool new robot by the Vuurzoons :

Last month Rebrick had a contest amongst MCP's. It was simple -- had to be an EV3 robot, could not be one of the bonus models,  public would votes during month of September,  then most likes would wins -- This was not an easy task but 9 prepared MCP's  have managed to treat us with great EV3 creations! With 39 votes at the end of the competition, our winner is LEGO: EV3ized Dolphin Cruiser by –Vuurzoon, Anika Congratulation Anika - your integrations of Friends and Mindstorms is once again fabulous. Remember Mindy Mindstorms , the great dancing NXT cheerleader, by the  Vuurzoons ? Well, the have even surpassed themselves with a fantastic sequel: the First Robotic Cheerleaders . Ah, I love the movie! More details and pictures can be found here .

There appears to be a new member in the Dutch MINDSTORMS group Vuurzoon , and he's introduced himself with a great NXT model, a NXT crab :

The fantastic LEGO® MINDSTORMS Curiosity Mars Rover , built by Will Gorman and Doug Moran, keeps getting prominent: after having visited the NASA , the WRO in Malaysia and the European Robotics Week in Prague, it will now be shown in a very popular TV show called " Quarks & Co "! These days, the dutch "NXT family" Vuurzoon , well-known for great creations like Mindy MINDSTORMS , LEGO® friends NXT or the  LEGO® Gramophone , went to the broadcast station in Cologne for shootings where Anika Vuurzoon served as a presenter. The scenery looks great: MINDSTORMS Rover in the Quarks & Co studio driving in the “Mars” dessert Anika controls the MINDSTORMS Rover during close up “drill” recordings The show will be broadcasted on 11th December at 9 PM; I'll definitely be watching it!

The Vuurzoons have done it again! Arjen Vuurzoon has published a great video on Mindy Mindstorms , a Cheerleader robot that dances to the beats of an arbitrary song: Mindy synchronizes her movements via a Bluetooth connection to the PC playing the song and balances itself using a HiTechnic Gyro sensor ; it's most  remarkable that her creator managed to make her keeping stable even with the pom-pons constantly disturbing the delicate balance! last weekend 14/15 September, at a clubday of the dutch LEGO club " de bouwsteen " I saw this real nice demo. A story about "The duck family and the bad rat". The lady in the white designed and build the duck the duck wonders around and when it finds its nest, it will lay an egg. the rat is stealing the egg form the nest. the small ducks have PF motors and are remote controlled. more info: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/220755
